Please read on for details regarding the recording of this album and the bonus tracks included in the full download:

Inspired by the Chris Benoit tragedy, I recorded the first album, "Double Murder Suicide," in the summer of 2007 and gave out/sent CD-R copies to my friends in Cleveland, NYC, Chicago, and Athens, Ohio. Later that summer, I was invited to play a set at the Bruce Manor, a space in Athens, Ohio. My friend Jason Look backed me up on drums. Within a few weeks, my brother Sam joined on bass and we started playing shows around Cleveland - mostly at The Tower 2012 and the Grog Shop.

To fill out the set, I wrote and recorded a bunch of demos - the Sycho Sid-inspired "Hide the Scissors," "Diamond Cutter," "Miss Elizabeth," "Jose the Mentor," "Sneak Attack," "Brother Kane," future set closer "They Threw the Mountie in a Jail" and a song that I deemed unworthy of ever performing or re-recording, "Falling from the Top Rope" (in hindsight, its not that bad). All of these are included and were recorded at Lacy and I's first (overpriced and shitty) apartment in University Heights directly into my iMac's built-in mic.

On a trip to NYC (where we thinking of moving), I got a chance to record a song with my former bandmate Erik Schmall called "Ladder Match." Erik provided drums, bass, and additional guitar on the track too. Thanks again, dude!

As we were gigging around Cleveland, Sam pitched in a song he wrote called "Poor Jim Ross" and Jason wrote one too - "Hart with a Heart." Their original demos from 2007 are included in the full download.

The bonus tracks continue with four live recordings all from our final show at the Grog Shop - "WrestleMania of Love," "Diamond Cutter," "Jose the Mentor," and "They Threw The Mountie In A Jail." We played with some cool bands for the 6-8 months we played - Psychedelic Horseshit, Spooktober, Beardo Bandini, Jerk (or whatever project David Russell was in. We played with David alot). Sam got us pretty much every show except the 2nd Bruce Manor gig.

Anyway...the three of us recorded what would've become the 2nd album at Sam's house on Hessler Street in December 07 or early 08'. Sam and Jason recorded all the bass and drums in one afternoon and I recorded guitar and some vocals. Sadly, sometime in 08' or early 09', Sam's computer crashed and we lost everything...except the songs included here: "Brother Kane," "Sneak Attack," "House Show," and "Super Crazy."

There were at least 8-9 other songs that were lost (including a full band "Fair to Flair" and maybe maybe "Ravishing Rude"). I didn't even know these 4 existed until I found them on an old CD-R that Sam must've given me years ago. We lost the album in what would've been around the summer of 2008, and, by then, we had stopped playing as a band so there was no motivation to re-record it. By then, I think Jason had started his band Prisoners and Sam was very much recording/performing solo and with Mist. They were both at the Cool Ranch by this point, I think.

I opted to start from scratch and write a whole new album. (I think the only holdover from the band era was the aforementioned "Ravishing Rude").

The 2nd DMS album, Sheer Hart Attack, was heavily inspired by two books - "Ring of Hell" by Matthew Randazzo and "Hitman" by Bret Hart - and was recorded in my apartment in Cleveland Heights from late 08' to mid-09' after some false starts trying to record in my friend Damen's apartment (also in Cleveland Heights). The story of Damen's involvement with DMS doesn't end there, though, and will be told in due time....

Oh, and I've also included the first two songs I wrote/recorded post-Sheer Hart Attack. Rather than lump them in with next year's Director's Cut edition of lexlugersexmagik, I'm sharing them now - "Camel Clutch" (all about Iron Sheik) and "Captain Lou," a eulogy for the fallen manager who passed in October 2009.

If you've made it this far, thanks for reading and again for the support.
